Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10466 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ الْخَبَائِرِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ يَكُونُ فِي قَوْمٍ يَعْمَلُ بِمَعَاصِي اللهِ فِيهِمْ، وَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُمْ وَأَعَزُّ، ثُمَّ يَدَّهِنُوا فِي شَأْنِهِ إِلَّا عَاقَبَهُمُ اللهُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There is no man who lives among a people and commits acts of disobedience to Allah among them, while they are greater than him in number and strength, and they then compromise over his matter, except that Allah will surely punish them."
