حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى صَاحِبُ الْبَصْرِيِّ، ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: «لَا تَزَالُ الشَّفَاعَةُ بِالنَّاسِ وَهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ النَّارِ، حَتَّى إِنَّ إِبْلِيسَ الْأَبَالِسِ لَيَتَطَاوَلُ لَهَا رَجَاءَ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Intercession will continue for people and they will keep coming out of the Fire, until even Iblis, the chief of the devils, will crane his neck towards it in the hope that it may reach him too."
