Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10186 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا، أَوْ لَا يَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ، حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "The world will not come to an end, or he said: the days will not come to an end, until a man from my household becomes ruler over the Arabs whose name matches my name."
