حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُجَاشِعِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَعْقُوبَ الْكِرْمَانِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ فِيهِ رَجُلًا مِنِّي، أَوْ مِنْ أَهْلِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي، يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي، وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Even if only one day remained of the world, Allah would lengthen that day until He sends in it a man from me, or from my household, whose name matches my name and whose father's name matches my father's name."
