باب من روى عن ابن مسعود أنه لم يكن مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليلة الجن
Chapter: Those who reported that Ibn Masud (may Allah be pleased with him) was not with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of the Jinn
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 10076 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Indeed

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الْكَافِرَ لَيُحَاسَبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُلْجِمَهُ الْعَرَقُ، حَتَّى إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ أَرِحْنِي وَلَوْ إِلَى النَّارِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, the disbeliever will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection in such a way that the sweat will bridle him, until he says: 'O my Lord, give me relief, even if it is by sending me to the Fire.'"
