قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، ثَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الضَّبِّيُّ ، وَصِيُّ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَوْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : سَأَلْتُ رَبِّي - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - أَنْ لَا أَتَزَوَّجَ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي وَلَا أُزَوِّجَ أَحَدًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي إِلَّا كَانَ مَعِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَأَعْطَانِي ذَلِكَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar or Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I implored my Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, that whatever family of my Ummah I marry into, or whomever of my Ummah I give in marriage (from my family), they must be with me in Paradise; so Allah Almighty accepted this supplication of mine and granted me this honour."
Al-Harith recorded this narration in his Musnad; its chain contains Ishaq bin Bishr al-Kahili, who according to the hadith scholars is extremely weak and a liar, so this narration is baseless and fabricated in its chain.

حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، ثَنَا جَرْوَلُ بْنُ جَنْدَلٍ ، ثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ أَوِ ابْنِ رِزْقٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عَزِيمَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَعَهْدٌ عَهِدَهُ إِلَيَّ - أَنْ لَا أَتَزَوَّجَ إِلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ وَلَا أُزَوِّجَ شَيْئًا مِنْ بَنَاتِي إِلَّا كَانُوا رُفَقَائِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ .
It is narrated from Abu Abdullah bin Marzuq or Ibn Rizq that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is a firm decree from my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, and a binding covenant that He has made with me, that whatever family I marry into, or whomever I give any of my daughters in marriage to, they will all be my companions in Paradise."
Al-Tabarani recorded this hadith in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (4004); however, because the narrator Jarwal bin Jandal in its chain is alone in narrating it, the hadith scholars have criticised its reliability.

وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ عُمَرُ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتَ عَلِيٍّ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ - قَالَ : أَلَا تُهَنُّونِي ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : كُلُّ سَبَبٍ وَنَسَبٍ مُنْقَطِعٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ غَيْرَ سَبَبِي وَنَسَبِي .
3989 \ 2 - قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، ثَنَا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْجُعْفِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ إِلَى أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ ، فَقَالَ : أَلَا تُهَنُّونِي ؟ قَالُوا : وَمَا ذَاكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ؟ قَالَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : تَزَوَّجْتُ أُمَّ كُلْثُومٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِفَاطِمَةَ ، وَلِعَلِيٍّ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ .. فَذَكَرَهُ ، قَالَ : فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ .
هَذَا مُنْقَطِعٌ .

Imam Ja'far bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that when Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) married Sayyidah Umm Kulthum bint Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said to the people: "Will you not congratulate me? For I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'On the Day of Resurrection every tie (of connection) and every lineage will be cut off except my tie and my lineage.'"
It is narrated from Imam Abu Ja'far Muhammad bin Ali that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the People of the Suffah and said: "Will you not congratulate me?" They said: O Commander of the Believers, for what? He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I have married Umm Kulthum (may Allah be pleased with her), (the granddaughter) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the daughter of Sayyiduna Ali and Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with them both), and indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say," then he mentioned the same hadith, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "So I wished that I too might have (such a bond of heart and lineage) with him (peace and blessings be upon him)."
This narration is munqati' (broken).
