قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ الْقَدَّاحُ ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ سَاجٍ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ - قَدْ سَمَّاهُ ، ذَهَبَ عَنِّي اسْمُهُ - أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ مَعَ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَأَدْنَاهُ حَتَّى أَجْلَسَهُ مَعَهُ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ ، ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِذِرَاعِ مُوسَى فَغَمَزَهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : هَوِّنْ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي ، فَوَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي اللهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - وَأَبَاكَ - يَعْنِي طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - مِمَّنْ نَزَعَ اللهُ مَا فِي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ إِخْوَانًا عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ .
It is narrated from an unidentified narrator (whose name the narrator below him forgot) that he went with Musa bin Talhah to Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) drew him so close that he seated him with himself on the bedding. Then he took hold of Musa's arm and squeezed it (with love and affection) and said: "O my nephew, take it easy (and do not grieve), for by Allah, I have strong hope in Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, that He will include me and your father (Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him)) among those about whom Allah Almighty says: 'And We will remove whatever rancour is in their breasts; (they will be) brothers, on thrones facing one another' [Surah al-Hijr: 47]."

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، ثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - قَالَتْ : وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَفِي بَيْتِي ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ - فِي الْفِنَاءِ ، وَالسِّتْرُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ ، إِذْ أَقْبَلَ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ يَمْشِي عَلَى الْأَرْضِ قَدْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ ، فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ .
( 173 ) وَحَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - فِي ذِكْرِ طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَأْتِي - إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى - فِي غَزْوَةِ أُحُدٍ .
( 173 ) وَحَدِيثُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - فِي ذِكْرِ طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَأْتِي - إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى - فِي غَزْوَةِ أُحُدٍ .
It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: By Allah, one day I was in my house, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the courtyard with his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), with a curtain between me and them, when Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever would be delighted to see a man walking on the earth who has fulfilled his vow [Surah al-Ahzab: 23], let him look at Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him)."
The hadith of Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) in which Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) is mentioned will come, if Allah Almighty wills, in the account of the Battle of Uhud.

وَقَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْهُذَلِيُّ ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : ذُكِرَ طَلْحَةُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ عِنْدَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ : ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ فِيهِ بَأْوٌ مُنْذُ أُصِيبَتْ يَدُهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah (may Allah be pleased with him) was mentioned in the gathering of Sayyiduna Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: "He is an eminent man in whose nature some pride and sense of distinction has arisen ever since his hand was wounded and paralysed while he was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (defending him)."
Al-Tayalisi recorded this narration in his Musnad, but its chain contains the narrator Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, who according to the imams of hadith is da'if (weak) and matruk (abandoned) in hadith, and for this reason this report is not authentic in its chain.
