بَابُ فَضْلِ الزبير رضي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا : أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ : يَا ابْنَ حَوَارِيِّ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا : إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنْ آلِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، وَإِلَّا فَلَا .
3980 \ 2 - رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بِهَذَا .
وَقَالَ : مَا رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ إِلَّا سَعِيدٌ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا يَزِيدُ .

وَقَالَ : مَا رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ إِلَّا سَعِيدٌ ، وَلَا عَنْهُ إِلَّا يَزِيدُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard a man addressing someone with these words: "O son of the disciple (hawari, devoted helper) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)!" So Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) corrected him, saying: "If you are from the family of al-Zubayr (the descendants of Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him)), then saying this is right; otherwise, do not use this title."
Ahmad bin Mani' recorded it, and al-Bazzar also reported it through Ahmad bin Sinan from Yazid bin Harun, and said: No one narrated it from Ayyub except Sa'id bin Abi Arubah, and no one from him except Yazid bin Harun.

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، هُوَ أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَدَنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ عُرْوَةَ - فِيمَا أَحْسَبُ - ابْنَةُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا ، عَنْ جَدِّهَا الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ : دَعَا لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِوَلَدِي ، وَلِوَلَدِ وَلَدِي . فَسَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ لِأُخْتٍ لِي كَانَتْ أَسَنَّ مِنِّي : إِنَّكِ مِمَّنْ أَصَابَتْهُ دَعْوَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
( 172 ) وَحَدِيثُ اللِّوَاءِ ، يَأْتِي - إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى - فِي غَزْوَةِ الْفَتْحِ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him) that (Ja'far bin al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him)) heard him say: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated (for good and blessing) for me, for my children and for my children's children." (Umm Urwah bint Ja'far said:) I heard my father say to a sister of mine who was older than me: "Indeed you are among the fortunate ones whom the blessed supplication of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has reached."
