بَابُ قوته صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الجماع
The strength of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in marital relations

قَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبَانَ ، ثَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : أُعْطِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُوَّةَ أَرْبَعِينَ رَجُلًا فِي الْجِمَاعِ .
It is narrated from Imam Tawus bin Kaysan (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was given strength equal to that of forty men in the matter of conjugal intimacy."
Imam al-Harith bin Abi Usamah recorded this narration in his Musnad; however, the narrator Abd al-Aziz bin Aban in its chain has been declared a liar (kadhdhab) and matruk al-hadith (abandoned in hadith) by the imams of jarh and ta'dil, on account of which this narration is severely weak and unreliable in its chain.

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبَانَ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، قَالَ : أُعْطِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُوَّةَ بِضْعٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ رَجُلًا ، كُلُّ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ .
It is narrated from Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was given strength and vigour equal to that of forty-odd men, and each of those men was one of the people of Paradise (that is, possessing the extraordinary strength of the men of Paradise)."
Imam Abu Nu'aym al-Asbahani narrated this report in Sifat al-Jannah. Its chain contains a narrator named Abd al-Aziz bin Aban, who is weak and matruk (abandoned), and this report is also mursal.
