بَابُ طَهَارَةِ دمه وبوله صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثَنَا هُنَيْدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَامِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قَالَ : يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ ، اذْهَبْ بِهَذَا الدَّمِ ، فَادْفِنْهُ حَيْثُ لَا يَرَاكَ أَحَدٌ ، فَلَمَّا بَرَزَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَدَ إِلَى الدَّمِ فَشَرِبَهُ ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ ، مَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ قَالَ : جَعَلْتُهُ فِي أَخْفَى مَكَانٍ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ يَخْفَى عَنِ النَّاسِ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَعَلَّكَ شَرِبْتَهُ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : وَلِمَ شَرِبْتَ الدَّمَ ؟ وَيْلٌ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْكَ ، وَوَيْلٌ لَكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ .
قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ أَبَا عَاصِمٍ ، فَقَالَ : كَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الَّتِي بِهِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - مِنْ ذَلِكَ الدَّمِ .
3821 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِهِ .
قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ أَبَا عَاصِمٍ ، فَقَالَ : كَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ الَّتِي بِهِ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - مِنْ ذَلِكَ الدَّمِ .
3821 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِهِ .
Amir bin Abdullah bin al-Zubayr narrates from his father that he came into the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was being cupped (hijamah). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished, he said: "O Abdullah! Take this blood away and bury it somewhere no one can see you." When he had gone out from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he went to that blood and drank it. Then, when he came back, he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Abdullah! What did you do with that blood?" He said: I have put it in an extremely hidden place, which I am sure will remain hidden from people. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Perhaps you have drunk it?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you drink the blood?" Then he said: 'Waylun lin-nasi minka, wa waylun laka min an-nas' (Woe to people from you, and woe to you from people), that is, people will face ruin and trial because of you, and you will face ruin because of people.
Abu Salamah said: I narrated this incident to Abu Asim, and he said: People used to think that the extraordinary strength present in Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was due to that blessed blood.
Imam al-Bazzar also narrated it through Muhammad bin al-Muthanna from Musa bin Isma'il with this same chain.

3822 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ - هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ - ، حَدَّثَنِي بُرَيْهُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَفِينَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ جَدِّي سَفِينَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - ، قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي : خُذْ هَذَا الدَّمَ ، وَادْفِنْهُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ وَالنَّاسِ ، قَالَ : فَذَهَبْتُ ، فَبَغَيْتُ لَهُ ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ ، فَقَالَ لِي : مَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ : شَرِبْتُهُ ، فَتَبَسَّمَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
3822 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ - هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ - ، حَدَّثَنِي بُرَيْهُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَفِينَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ جَدِّي سَفِينَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - ، قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ احْتَجَمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي : خُذْ هَذَا الدَّمَ ، وَادْفِنْهُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ وَالنَّاسِ ، قَالَ : فَذَهَبْتُ ، فَبَغَيْتُ لَهُ ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ ، فَقَالَ لِي : مَا صَنَعْتَ ؟ قُلْتُ : شَرِبْتُهُ ، فَتَبَسَّمَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Safinah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was cupped (had hijamah), and then he said to me: "Take this blood away and bury it (hidden) from animals and people." He said: I went away (with the blood) and searched for (a suitable place to dispose of it). Then, when I came back, he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me: "What did you do (with that blood)?" I said: "I have drunk it," and on hearing this the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled.

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، ثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَّارَةٌ يَبُولُ فِيهَا ، فَكَانَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ يَقُولُ : يَا أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ ، صُبِّي مَا فِي الْفَخَّارَةِ ، فَقُمْتُ لَيْلَةً وَأَنَا عَطْشَى ، فَشَرِبْتُ مَا فِيهَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا أُمَّ أَيْمَنَ ، صُبِّي مَا فِي الْفَخَّارَةِ فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، قُمْتُ وَأَنَا عَطْشَى ، فَشَرِبْتُ مَا فِيهَا ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّكِ لَنْ تَشْتَكِي بَطْنَكِ بَعْدَ يَوْمِكِ هَذَا أَبَدًا .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had an earthenware vessel in which he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to urinate (at night). When morning came he (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "O Umm Ayman! Pour out whatever is in this vessel." (Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with her) said:) One night I woke up, and I was very thirsty, so I drank what was in that vessel. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (as usual): "O Umm Ayman! Pour out whatever is in this vessel." I said: O Messenger of Allah! I got up and I was thirsty, so I drank whatever was in it. At this he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, after this day of yours you will never again have any pain in your stomach."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated this hadith in his Musnad (hadith: 7083). The imams of jarh and ta'dil (narrator criticism) have criticised the narrator al-Hasan bin Harb in its chain, but supporting reports for this incident are also narrated through other routes.
