Surah al-Rahman

It is narrated from Muhammad bin Sa'd bin Malik that whenever Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) recited this blessed verse: "And for him who fears standing before his Lord are two gardens" [Surah al-Rahman: 46], he would also say these words along with it: "Even if he has committed fornication and even if he has stolen." He would further say: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught me this verse to recite in this way."
Imam Ahmad bin Mani' (may Allah have mercy on him) explained that this refers to one who repents after his sins.

It is narrated from Muhammad bin Sa'd (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: I was with Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda (may Allah be pleased with him), and he recited this blessed verse before us: "And for him who fears standing before his Lord are two gardens" [Surah al-Rahman: 46], and (added these words along with it): "Even if he has committed fornication and even if he has stolen." I said: But people do not recite this verse in this way? So he repeated that sentence three times and said: "This is how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited it."
Musnad Abi Ya'la: 3740; the narrator Sadaqah bin Hurmuz in its chain is weak, but it has been transmitted as an explanatory reading.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the statement of Allah Almighty: "Fair maidens secluded in pavilions" [Surah al-Rahman: 72], that he said in its explanation: "(These pavilions are) precious pearls that are hollow inside (that is, shaped like tents)."
Imam Musaddad related this report in his Musnad, and its chain is sahih (authentic); it is mawquf (a statement of the Companion himself) on Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him).
