It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the explanation of this saying of Allah Almighty: "To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth" [Surah al-Zumar: 63], and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one asked me about it before you. Its explanation is these words: 'La ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa subhanallahi wa bi-hamdih, wa astaghfirullah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah, al-awwali wal-akhir, waz-zahiri wal-batin, bi-yadihi al-khayr, yuhyi wa yumit, wa huwa ala kulli shay'in qadir' (There is no god worthy of worship but Allah; Allah is the Greatest; glory be to Allah and with His praise; I seek forgiveness from Allah; there is no power to avoid sin and no strength to do good except through the help of Allah; He is the First and the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden; all good is in His Hand; He gives life and causes death; and He has full power over all things). Whoever recites these words ten times in the morning is granted ten traits (great benefits): the first is that he is protected from Iblis and his armies; the second is that he is given a great heap (qintar) of reward; the third is that a rank is raised for him in Paradise; the fourth is that he is married to the wide-eyed maidens of Paradise (hur al-in); the fifth is that twelve thousand angels are present (when these words are recited); the sixth is that he receives a reward equal to one who recites the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms and the Furqan (the Noble Qur'an); and, O Uthman, he also receives the reward of one who performs Hajj and Umrah whose Hajj and Umrah have been accepted; and if he dies on that same day, the seal of the martyrs is placed upon him."
Ibn Abi Asim also narrated it.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the keys of the heavens and the earth, and he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "'Subhanallah, wal-hamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar' (Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest): these are the keys of the heavens and the earth; and 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no power to avoid sin and no strength to do good except through the help of Allah) is one of the treasures of the Throne." (The rest of the hadith is likewise.)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Jibril (peace be upon him) about this saying of Allah Almighty: "And the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead, except whom Allah wills" [Surah al-Zumar: 68]: who are those whom Allah Almighty willed to protect from falling unconscious at the terror of the Horn? Jibril (peace be upon him) said: "They are the martyrs who will be around the Throne of the Most Merciful with their swords girded on. On the Day of Resurrection the angels will receive them, (taking them) toward the plain of gathering, on fine, noble she-camels of ruby whose saddle-cloths and cushions will be softer than silk, each of whose strides will reach as far as a man's eye can see. Touring through Paradise, they will say during that long, pleasant journey: 'Intaliqu bina ila rabbina azza wa jall' (Take us to our Lord, the Mighty and Majestic), so that we may witness how He judges between His creation. My Lord will look at them and smile, and when Allah Almighty, in any place, looks at His servant and smiles (that is, expresses His pleasure), then there is no reckoning for him."
And, if Allah Almighty wills, a hadith concerning this verse will also come soon in the chapter on the description of Paradise: "And those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups" [Surah al-Zumar: 73].
