قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ نِمْرَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : إِنَّ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا رَبُّنَا اللهُ ثُمَّ اسْتَقَامُوا - قَالَ : هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُشْرِكُوا بِاللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ شَيْئًا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding this statement of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, those who said, 'Our Lord is Allah,' and then remained steadfast" [Surah Fussilat: 30], that he said: "They are those who did not associate anything at all with Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
Imam Musaddad recorded this report under the exegesis of Surah Fussilat through the chain of Yahya, Sufyan, Abu Ishaq and Amir al-Bajali, by way of Sa'id bin Nimran.
