It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Keep your dwellings and homes in good order, make one head into two heads, and frighten the venomous vermin (by killing them or driving them away) before they frighten you."
Al-Khalil bin Zakariyya (may Allah have mercy on him) said in explanation of it: "your dwellings" means your houses; "the head two heads" means that when someone intends to buy one slave for ten thousand, he should buy two slaves (instead of one); and "vermin" means snakes.

It is narrated from Abu Maysarah Amr bin Shurahbil (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sheep and goats are a blessing in their entirety, camels are a source of honour and esteem for their owners, and goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses. A slave is your brother, so treat him well, and if you see him exhausted and overwhelmed (by excessive work or burden), then help and assist him."
This report is mursal.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sheep and goats are goodness and blessing in their entirety, and camels are a source of honour and esteem for their owners."
Al-Harith narrated this hadith in his Musnad. The narrator in its chain, al-Khalil bin Zakariyya, is da'if (weak) according to the majority of hadith scholars; however, the mention of sheep and goats being a source of blessing also occurs in other sahih hadith.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the wealthy and affluent to keep sheep and goats, and instructed the poor and needy to keep chickens."
Ahmad bin Mani' narrated it; however, its chain contains Rishdin bin Sa'd, a da'if (weak) narrator, because of which this report is considered weak in terms of its authenticity.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) — he would sometimes narrate it as marfu' (that is, as a saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)) and sometimes as mawquf (that is, as his own saying) — that he said: "Sheep and goats are a source of blessing."
Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith, and this report is narrated through various chains which indicate keeping sheep and goats and that there is goodness and blessing in them.

It is narrated from Abu Sinan (may Allah have mercy on him), the freed slave of Banu Hashim, that it reached us that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst of your slaves and servants are the black ones (Abyssinians), for when they suffer hunger and need they take to stealing, and when they are well-off and full they fall into immorality (zina)."
Al-Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated it in his Musnad, but this report is munqati' (broken) and mursal in its chain, because Abu Sinan is counted among the Successors (Tabi'in) and his direct hearing from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not established; therefore, from the scholarly and technical standpoint, this report is considered da'if (weak).
