It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is concerned about the hunger of his Muslim brother and feeds him until he is full, and gives him water to drink until his thirst is quenched, Allah Almighty forgives him."

It is narrated from Sayyidah Layla (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, and I brought him some food, but some of the people present there kept away (from the food). At this the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is the matter with them?" (The household) said: "They are fasting." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no Muslim with whom (others) eat except that the angels pray for him (supplicating for mercy and forgiveness)."
