قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنِ اهْتَمَّ بِجَوْعَةِ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَأَطْعَمَهُ حَتَّى يَشْبَعَ ، وَسَقَاهُ حَتَّى يُرْوَى غَفَرَ [اللهُ] لَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is concerned about the hunger of his Muslim brother and feeds him until he is full, and gives him water to drink until his thirst is quenched, Allah Almighty forgives him."
