It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves behind him a treasure, on the Day of Resurrection that treasure will be made to appear in the form of a highly venomous bald serpent with two black marks over its eyes. That serpent will pursue that man, and he will ask (in alarm): Who are you? It will say: I am that very treasure of yours which you left behind you. So it will keep following him until that man (trying to save himself) puts his hand into its mouth, and it will begin to chew it; then it will take hold of the rest of his entire body as well."
Imam al-Bazzar (may Allah have mercy on him) states that we do not know any other route for this hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) besides this chain.
