قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ ، وَحَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَتَعَجَّلُ صَدَقَةَ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ سَنَتَيْنِ .
قُلْتُ : يُوسُفُ تَالِفٌ ، لَكِنَّهُ تُوبِعَ ، فَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَجَلِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ : الْحَسَنُ الْبَجَلِيُّ هَذَا هُوَ ابْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُهُ .
قُلْتُ : يُوسُفُ تَالِفٌ ، لَكِنَّهُ تُوبِعَ ، فَقَالَ الْبَزَّارُ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَجَلِيِّ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ : الْحَسَنُ الْبَجَلِيُّ هَذَا هُوَ ابْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، لَا نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُهُ .
Musa bin Talhah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his honoured father (Sayyiduna Talhah bin Ubaydullah) (may Allah be pleased with him) that "the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to collect the zakah on the wealth of Sayyiduna al-Abbas bin Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) two years in advance."
I (Ibn Hajar) say: The narrator Yusuf in this chain is talif (severely weak); however, he has corroboration (mutaba'ah). Imam al-Bazzar, after recording it through another route, from al-Hasan al-Bajali from al-Hakam, stated explicitly that this al-Hasan al-Bajali is in fact Ibn Umarah, and that to his knowledge no one other than him narrated it.
