وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ صُبَيْحٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبَانَ هُوَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ - قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ يَتَمَطَّرُ فِي أَوَّلِ مَطَرِهِ فَيَنْـزِعُ ثِيَابَهُ إِلَّا الْإِزَارَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): "When the first rain (of the season) fell, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would expose his blessed body to the rain (to receive the blessing of the rain), so he (peace and blessings be upon him) would take off his clothes (from the upper part of the body), leaving only his waist-wrapper."
Imam Abu Ya'la narrated this hadith. Its chain contains Yazid bin Aban al-Raqashi, a da'if (weak) narrator; however, its basis is narrated in Sahih Muslim (898) from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) himself.
