It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "People reach the morning stricken by drought and famine, then Allah Almighty, out of His special grace, grants them provision (rain), yet as soon as morning comes they fall into committing shirk; they say: 'We were given rain by the influence of such-and-such a star.'"
Imam Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi narrated this hadith in his Musnad, and its chain is hasan (good).
