وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، قَالَ : انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : صَلُّوا كَأَحْدَثِ صَلَاةٍ صَلَّيْتُمُوهَا مِنَ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ .
It is narrated from Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) that when the sun was eclipsed in the blessed time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to the Companions): "Perform (the eclipse prayer) in exactly the same form and manner in which you most recently performed one of the obligatory prayers."
Takhrij: Imam al-Nasa'i recorded this report in "al-Sunan al-Kubra" (1852), and its chain is sahih (authentic).
