وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - قَالَ : مَنْ تَرَكَ صَلَاةَ الْجُمُعَةِ ثَلَاثًا مُتَوَالِيَاتٍ فَقَدْ نَبَذَ الْإِسْلَامَ وَرَاءَ ظَهْرِهِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said: "Whoever abandons three Friday prayers in succession (without any legitimate excuse) has indeed thrown Islam behind his back (that is, he has turned away from it completely)."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this report in his Musnad and its chain is sahih (authentic); it is a saying of Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) (mawquf).
