قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ هُوَ الْجُعْفِيُّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صَلَاةِ عَبْدٍ لَا يَرْفَعُ إِزَارَهُ فَوْقَ عَقِبَيْهِ ، وَيُبَاشِرُ بِكَفَّيْهِ الْأَرْضَ .
جَابِرٌ هُوَ الْجُعْفِيُّ : مَتْرُوكٌ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, does not look with favour at the prayer of a servant who does not keep his lower garment above his ankles (out of arrogance), and who does not place both his palms on the ground (in prostration)."
