وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ ، أَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ : فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ : حَتَّى تَجَاوَزَ بِهِمَا أُذُنَيْهِ .
461 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ بِهَذَا .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): when he began the prayer, he raised both his blessed hands so high that they went beyond (the level of) his ears."
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) also narrated this same hadith from Ahmad bin Mani'.
