حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ مُعَيْقِيبٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْعُتْوَارِيِّ ، وَكَانَ يَتِيمًا فِي حِجْرِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : [سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : إِذَا جَمَعَ اللهُ النَّاسَ فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ] ، أَقْبَلَتِ النَّارُ يَرْكَبُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا ، وَخَزَنَتُهَا يَكُفُّونَهَا .... الْحَدِيثَ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When Allah Almighty gathers all people on a single bare, level plain on the Day of Resurrection, the Fire of Hell will be brought in such a state that one part of it will be mounting over another (that is, it will come surging with extreme fury), and its appointed guardian angels will be holding it back." (The complete hadith is reported in this way.)
