Abu al-Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard from some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (may Allah be pleased with them) a hadith about the Dajjal, greater and more important than which I had never heard anything: that "the Dajjal will come riding on a donkey. He will come to a man (as a trial and test) taking the likeness of one of the members of his household, and will address him, saying: 'O so-and-so! I am calling you to the truth; indeed my affair is entirely true.'"
[Musnad Ahmad: 4520; Shu'ayb al-Arna'ut declared it a sahih hadith and its chain hasan.]
