It is narrated from al-Haytham bin al-Aswad (the father of al-Uryan bin al-Haytham) that he said: I went to Yazid bin Mu'awiyah, and Yazid narrated a story. On that occasion Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked: "Is there in your land a place called 'Kutha', consisting of saline (salty) ground and palm groves?" He replied: "Yes." So he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Indeed the Dajjal will come forth from that very place."
The chain of this report is hasan (good). Imam Musaddad bin Musarhad narrated it in his Musnad; all its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), and al-Haytham bin al-Aswad was declared trustworthy by Imam Ibn Hibban.
