It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) halted at Dhu Tuwa (on the occasion of the Conquest of Makkah), Abu Quhafah said to his youngest daughter: "Take me up the mountain." He had become blind by then. Then the narrator related the whole story, in which it is also mentioned that the girl had a silver necklace around her neck, and a man passed by and snatched that necklace away. At the end of the incident is the statement of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning his sister: "O my sister! Hope for reward from Allah for this loss and be patient, for by Allah, trustworthiness has now become very scarce among people."
Imam Ahmad recorded it in detail, except for the last statement of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him).
