قَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اعْتَكَفَ هُوَ وَخَدِيجَةُ شَهْرًا ، فَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَمِعَ "السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ" ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ : وَقَدْ ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ فَجْأَةُ الْجِنِّ ، فَقَالَتْ : أَبْشِرْ ، فَإِنَّ السَّلَامَ خَيْرٌ ، ثُمَّ رَأَى صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا آخَرَ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى الشَّمْسِ ، جَنَاحٌ لَهُ بِالْمَشْرِقِ ، وَجَنَاحٌ لَهُ بِالْمَغْرِبِ ، فَهِبْتُ مِنْهُ ، قَالَتْ : فَانْطَلَقَ يُرِيدُ أَهْلَهُ ، فَإِذَا هُوَ بِجِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَابِ ، فَقَالَ : فَكَلَّمَنِي ، حَتَّى آنَسْتُ بِهِ ، ثُمَّ وَعَدَنِي مَوْعِدًا ، فَجِئْتُ لِمَوْعِدِهِ ، وَاحْتَبَسَ عَلَيَّ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِذَا بِهِ وَمِيكَائِيلَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَامُ ، فَهَبَطَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ، وَبَقِيَ مِيكَائِيلُ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ، قَالَ : فَأَخَذَنِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ، فَصَلَقَنِي لِحَلَاوَةِ الْقَفَا ، وَشَقَّ عَنْ بَطْنِي فَأَخْرَجَ مِنْهُ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَهُ فِي طَشْتٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، ثُمَّ أَعَادَهُ فِيهِ ، ثُمَّ كَفَأَنِي كَمَا يُكْفَأُ الْإِنَاءُ ، ثُمَّ خَتَمَ فِي ظَهْرِي حَتَّى وَجَدْتُ مَسَّ الْخَاتَمِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي : اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ ، وَلَمْ أَقْرَأْ كِتَابًا قَطُّ ، فَأَخَذَنِي بِحَلْقِي حَتَّى أَجْهَشْتُ بِالْبُكَاءِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ، قَالَ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَمَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا بَعْدُ ، فَقَالَ مِيكَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ : تَبِعَتْهُ أُمَّتُهُ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ ، حَتَّى جِئْتُ إِلَى مَنْزِلِي ، فَمَا تَلَقَّانِي حَجَرٌ وَلَا شَجَرٌ إِلَّا قَالَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ، حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ ، فَقَالَتِ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ .
4221 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ بَابَنُوسَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ شَهْرًا هُوَ وَخَدِيجَةُ ، فَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ، فَسَمِعَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ ، قَالَ : فَظَنَنْتُهَا فَجْأَةَ الْجِنِّ ، فَجِئْتُ مُسْرِعًا ، حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ فَسَجَّتْنِي ثَوْبًا ، وَقَالَتْ : مَا شَأْنُكَ يَا ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ : حَتَّى انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى خَمْسِ آيَاتٍ مِنْهَا ، فَمَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا بَعْدُ ، ثُمَّ وَزَنَنِي بِرَجُلٍ فَوَزَنْتُهُ ، ثُمَّ وَزَنَنِي بِآخَرَ فَوَزَنْتُهُ ، حَتَّى وُزِنْتُ بِمِائَةِ رَجُلٍ ، فَقَالَ مِيكَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ : تَبِعَتْهُ أُمَّتُهُ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ .
4221 \ 2 - وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ بَابَنُوسَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ شَهْرًا هُوَ وَخَدِيجَةُ ، فَوَافَقَ ذَلِكَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ، فَسَمِعَ : السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ ، قَالَ : فَظَنَنْتُهَا فَجْأَةَ الْجِنِّ ، فَجِئْتُ مُسْرِعًا ، حَتَّى دَخَلْتُ عَلَى خَدِيجَةَ فَسَجَّتْنِي ثَوْبًا ، وَقَالَتْ : مَا شَأْنُكَ يَا ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ : حَتَّى انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى خَمْسِ آيَاتٍ مِنْهَا ، فَمَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا بَعْدُ ، ثُمَّ وَزَنَنِي بِرَجُلٍ فَوَزَنْتُهُ ، ثُمَّ وَزَنَنِي بِآخَرَ فَوَزَنْتُهُ ، حَتَّى وُزِنْتُ بِمِائَةِ رَجُلٍ ، فَقَالَ مِيكَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ : تَبِعَتْهُ أُمَّتُهُ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) observed seclusion (i'tikaf) for a month, and it was the month of Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out (of his place of seclusion) and heard a voice saying «As-salamu 'alayka» "Peace be upon you." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I thought it was a sudden appearance of the jinn." Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Rejoice, for peace is goodness and good." Then on another day he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) by the sun (on the horizon), with one of his wings in the east and one in the west, and (he said:) "I was awestruck by him." Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) relates: He (peace and blessings be upon him) set off towards his family, and suddenly found Jibril (peace be upon him) between himself and the door. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He spoke with me until I became at ease with him. Then he made an appointment with me (to meet), so I came for his appointment, but Jibril (peace be upon him) was late in coming. Then, when he wanted to return, suddenly he and Mika'il (peace be upon him) were together. Jibril (peace be upon him) descended to the earth while Mika'il (peace be upon him) remained between the heaven and the earth." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then Jibril (peace be upon him) took hold of me, laid me down on the nape of my neck and split open my stomach. Then he took out of it whatever Allah willed, washed it in a golden basin and put it back in its place. Then he pressed me just as a vessel is turned upside down. Then he set a seal on my back, until I felt the touch of that seal. Then he said to me: 'Read in the name of your Lord,' though I had never read any book. So he seized me by the throat until I was on the verge of weeping. Then he recited from {Read in the name of your Lord who created} [Surah al-Alaq: 1] up to the words of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, {what he did not know} [Surah al-Alaq: 5]." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "After that I did not forget anything." At this Mika'il (peace be upon him) said: "By the Lord of the Ka'bah, his Ummah will follow him." (He said:) "Until I came home, and every stone and tree I passed said: «As-salamu 'alayka ya Rasul Allah» 'Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah,' until I reached Khadijah, and she too said: «As-salamu 'alayka ya Rasul Allah» 'Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.'"
Al-Harith, in his narration through Yazid bin Babanus, related from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had vowed to observe seclusion for a month together with Sayyidah Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her), and it was the month of Ramadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out one night and heard a voice saying «As-salamu 'alayka» "Peace be upon you." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I thought it was a sudden stirring of the jinn, so I came back quickly until I reached Khadijah. She covered me with a cloth and asked: 'O son of Abdullah, what has happened to you?'" Then the narrator mentioned the whole hadith in the same way, until he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Until we reached the first five verses of the surah, and after that I did not forget anything. Then (the angel) weighed me against one man and I outweighed him; then against another, and again I outweighed him, until I was weighed against a hundred men (and still my side was heavier). Then Mika'il (peace be upon him) called out from above: 'By the Lord of the Ka'bah, his Ummah will follow him.'"
