قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابٌ خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ كَهْمَسٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : خَيْرُ أَهْلِ الْمَشْرِقِ عَبْدُ الْقَيْسِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The best group among the people of the East (the inhabitants of the eastern regions) is the tribe of Abd al-Qays."
Imam Abu Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) said that Shabab Khalifah bin Khayyat narrated this hadith to us, from Awn bin Kahmas, from Hisham, from Muhammad bin Sirin.
