وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : أُخْبِرْتُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : لَا تَسُبُّوا خَالِدًا ، فَإِنَّهُ مِنْ سُيُوفِ اللهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - سَلَّهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ .

It is narrated from Qays bin Abi Hazim (may Allah have mercy on him) that he was informed that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not revile Khalid (bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him)), for he is one of the swords of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, which Allah Almighty has drawn (unsheathed) against the disbelievers."
