وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَصْرٍ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا - قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ الْجِنَّ تَنُوحُ عَلَى الْحُسَيْنِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ .
3963 \ 2 - وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، بِهِ .

It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she said: "I heard the jinn lamenting and weeping over (the wrongful martyrdom of) Sayyiduna al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)."
Ahmad bin Mani' and Abd bin Humayd recorded this hadith; its chain contains Hammad bin Salamah, who reported it through Ammar from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her).
