قَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، ثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ رَوْحُ بْنُ جَنَاحٍ ، ( عَنْ مَوْلًى لِعُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ) ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا - ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَوْمَ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ قَالَ : عَنْ نُورٍ عَظِيمٍ ، يَخِرُّونَ لَهُ سُجَّدًا .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that, explaining the saying of Allah Almighty "The Day when the shin will be uncovered" [Surah al-Qalam: 42], he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It refers to (the manifestation of) a mighty light, before whose majesty all will fall down in prostration."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad through al-Qasim bin Yahya, al-Walid bin Muslim, Abu Sa'id Rawh bin Janah, a freed slave of Umar bin Abd al-Aziz, and Abu Burdah.
