It is narrated from Wahb bin Munabbih concerning the saying of Allah Almighty "And above them, on that Day, eight will bear the Throne of your Lord" [Surah al-Haqqah: 17] that he said: "It refers to four angels who carry it (the Throne) on their shoulders. Each of them has four faces: the face of a bull, the face of a lion, the face of an eagle and the face of a human. And each of them has four wings: two of the wings remain in front of their faces, out of fear that their gaze may fall upon the Throne and they faint (from awe), while with the other two wings they fly (or move). They have no speech on their tongues except this: 'Proclaim the holiness of Allah, the All-Strong, the Most High, whose greatness and majesty have filled all that is between the heavens and the earth.'"
This report is mawquf (stopping at the narrator) and its chain is weak.
