It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever says 'La ilaha illa Allah' (there is no god worthy of worship except Allah) one hundred times, says 'Allahu akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) one hundred times, and says 'Subhan Allah' (Allah is free of every fault and imperfection) one hundred times, this deed is certainly better for him than freeing ten slaves and slaughtering seven sacrificial camels."
Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad. Its chain contains the narrator Salamah bin Wardan, who is da'if (weak) according to the majority of hadith scholars; however, other authentic hadith exist as supporting witnesses (shawahid) for the virtue of these adhkar.
