It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I saw that when morning came, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say these words: 'Asbahna wa asbaha al-mulku lillah, wa al-kibriya', wa al-'azamah, wa al-khalq, wa al-laylu wa al-nahar, wa ma sakana fihima lillahi wahdahu la sharika lah, Allahumma ij'al awwala hadha al-nahari salahan, wa awsatahu falahan, wa akhirahu najahan, wa as'aluka khayra al-dunya wa al-akhirah' (We have reached the morning and morning has come in the dominion of Allah; all sovereignty, grandeur, majesty, all creation, the night and the day, and whatever dwells in them belong to Allah alone, who has no partner. O Allah, make the beginning of this day a means of goodness and rectitude, its middle a means of success and well-being, and its end a means of achievement and triumph; and I ask You for the good of this world and the Hereafter).
The chain of this hadith contains Fa'id bin Abd al-Rahman (Abu al-Warqa'), who according to the imams of hadith is a weak and matruk (abandoned) narrator; therefore this narration is weak in its chain.
