It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate with this du'a: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma taji'u bihi al-rih, wa sharri ma taji'u bihi al-rusul' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what the wind brings, and from the evil of what the angels (sent with Your punishment) bring).
The chain of this narration contains a narrator named Rishdin bin Kurayb, who is weak; therefore its chain is subject to criticism from a scholarly and technical standpoint, though other authentic hadith are narrated about seeking refuge from the evil of storms and wind.
