It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you intends to set out on a journey, let him greet his (Muslim) brothers with salam (and take leave of them), for through their supplications they add further good to his own supplication."
In the chain of this hadith the narrators named Amr bin al-Husayn and Yahya bin al-Ala' are weak and matruk (abandoned), on account of which this narration is severely weak.
