حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، ثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هِلَالٍ ، صَاحِبُ هَذِهِ الدَّارِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ " إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فِي الدُّعَاءِ حَتَّى رُئِيَ بَيَاضُ إِبْطَيْهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Barzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that "the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while supplicating, raised both his blessed hands so high that the whiteness of both his (peace and blessings be upon him) armpits could be seen clearly."
The chain of this hadith contains Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, a da'if (weak) narrator; however, raising the hands in supplication so high that the whiteness of the armpits is seen is established and authenticated by other sahih hadith.
