It is narrated from a reliable man of the tribe of Tayyi' (whom the narrator praised highly) that he said: "I used to keep beseeching Allah Almighty to show me His blessed Name by which, whenever He is supplicated, He grants acceptance. Then I found it written among the clusters of stars in the sky: 'Ya Badi' al-samawati wa al-ard, ya Dha al-jalali wa al-ikram' (O Originator of the heavens and the earth (without any prior model)! O Possessor of majesty and honour, and of bounty and generosity!)."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded it in his Musnad; its chain contains an unnamed man from the tribe of Tayyi', though Imam al-Sari bin Yahya testified to his reliability.
