وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ ، ثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : ( إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مُتَوَكِّئًا عَلَى أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، وَعَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ قِطْرِيٌّ ، لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبٌ غَيْرُهُ ) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out (from his blessed chamber, during the days of his final illness) leaning on Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them both). At that time he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a striped (qitri) sheet, and there was no other garment on his (peace and blessings be upon him) pure body besides this sheet."
Imam al-Harith bin Abi Usamah narrated this narration in his Musnad (Bughyat al-Bahith: 332). Its chain contains Dawud bin al-Muhabbar, who is a weak and matruk al-hadith (abandoned) narrator.
