It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the emigrants who had migrated to the land of Abyssinia returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Will you not tell us of the strange and wondrous things you saw in the land of Abyssinia?" A few young men among them said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. Once we were sitting when an old woman from among their monks passed by us, carrying a pitcher of water on her head. She passed by one of their young men, and that young man placed one of his hands between the woman's shoulders and pushed her, so that she fell on her knees and her pitcher broke. When she stood up, she turned towards the young man and said: "Sawfa ta'lamu ya ghudar (O treacherous one, you will soon come to know)", when Allah Almighty sets up His Kursi (Throne of judgement) and gathers the first and the last, and then "the hands will speak and the feet will bear witness to what they used to earn" [Surah Ya-Sin: 65]; then tomorrow, before Allah, you will come to know how my case and yours stand. The narrator said: On hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She spoke the truth, she spoke the truth. How can Allah sanctify a people among whom the right of the weak is not taken for them from the strong?"
Imam Abu Ya'la also narrated the like of it through Ishaq bin Abi Isra'il from Yahya bin Sulaym; and Muslim bin Khalid corroborated it from Ibn Khuthaym, which Harmalah transmitted through Ibn Wahb.
