قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، نَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ : إِنْ كَانَ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ فَضْلٌ فَإِنَّ السَّلَامَةَ فِي الْعُزْلَةِ .
It is narrated from Imam Makhul (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "If there is some virtue and merit in living together with people and in community, then certainly the safety and well-being of religion and faith lie in withdrawal and seclusion."
