وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ] : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْمُهَلَّبِ بْنِ أَبِي صُفْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ مَنْ يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ مِثْلُ مُؤْخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ فَقَدْ سَتَرَكَ " .
316 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ نَحْوَهُ وَقَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
316 \ 2 - وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ نَحْوَهُ وَقَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
It is narrated from a Companion (may Allah be pleased with him) of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is something like the back post of a saddle between you and the one who passes in front of you, then it has indeed served as a screen and barrier for you (and your prayer has been protected)."
Imam Ahmad bin Mani' also narrated the like of it through Hajjaj, in which it is stated explicitly: "I was informed by someone who himself heard this noble saying from the blessed tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."
