وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الزِّمَّانِيُّ ، نَبَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، ثَنَا دُجَيْنُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْيَرْبُوعِيُّ قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا شَيْخٌ إِلَى جَنْبِ الْمِنْبَرِ جَالِسٌ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : سَالِمٌ أَوْ أَسْلَمُ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أُسَافِرُ مَعَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ وَأَرْجُزُ لَهُ ، فَكَانَ لَا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ : لَوْ حَدَّثْتَنَا ، فَقَالَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ : إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " .
3109 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، ثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ ، عَنِ الدُّجَيْنِ ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَهُ .
3109 \ 3 - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ وَكِيعٍ ، ثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ الدُّجَيْنِ بِهِ .
3109 \ 2 - حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، ثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ ، عَنِ الدُّجَيْنِ ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَهُ .
3109 \ 3 - حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ وَكِيعٍ ، ثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ الدُّجَيْنِ بِهِ .
It is narrated from Aslam, the freed slave of Umar (may Allah have mercy on him): Dujayn bin Thabit al-Yarbu'i relates that he said: I entered the mosque, and there beside the pulpit sat an elder who was called Salim or Aslam. He said: I used to travel with Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) and recite rajaz verses (camel-driving songs) for him. He did not narrate (many) hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so we said to him: "If only you would narrate some hadith to us!" At this Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Whoever deliberately lies against me, let him take his seat in the Fire (of Hell)."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad. Also, Nasr bin Ali transmitted a report of the same meaning through Muslim from Dujayn, from Aslam the freed slave of Umar, from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); furthermore, Sufyan bin Waki' also narrated it from Dujayn through the route of his father.
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this hadith in his Musnad.
