وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُبَيِّبُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ، أَخُو حَمْزَةَ الزَّيَّاتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : أَتَاهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَقَالَ : يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِنَّا أُنَاسٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ، وَهَا هُنَا أُنَاسٌ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّا لَسْنَا عَلَى شَيْءٍ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا : قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ ، وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ ، وَحَجَّ الْبَيْتَ ، وَصَامَ رَمَضَانَ ، وَقَرَى الضَّيْفَ - دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a Bedouin came to him and said: "O Ibn Abbas! We belong to a group of Muslims, but here there are some people from the Muhajirun who claim that we are not upon any (sound basis of the religion)." At this, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever establishes the prayer, gives the zakah, performs Hajj to the House, fasts Ramadan, and hosts and honours the guest, enters Paradise."
Imam Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated this hadith in his al-Musannaf, and its chain is hasan (good).
