وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى : حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ ، فَكَتَمَهُ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلْجَمًا بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ ... وَمَنْ قَالَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلْجَمًا بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ .

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is asked about a matter of knowledge that he knows and deliberately conceals it will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with a bridle of fire placed in his mouth; and whoever speaks about the meaning and purport of the Noble Qur'an by his own opinion without knowledge and investigation will also come on the Day of Resurrection bridled with a bridle of fire."
