وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ : حَدَّثَنَا السَّكَنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُدَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي بَشِيرُ بْنُ نَهِيكٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : فَكُنْتُ أَكْتُبُ بَعْضَ مَا أَسْمَعُ مِنْهُ ، فَلَمَّا أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُفَارِقَهُ ، جِئْتُ بِالْكُتُبِ ، فَقَرَأْتُهَا عَلَيْهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : هَذَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْكَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
Bashir bin Nahik narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I used to keep the company of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and would write down what I heard from him. Then, when I intended to part from him, I came to him with all those writings and read them out before him, then I asked: "Did I hear all this from you?" He replied: "Yes."
