Abu al-Zubayr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates through a man, from Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him), that the man saw him praying when the sun had turned yellow, so the man said (in surprise): "O Companions of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Do you not forbid praying after Fajr and after Asr?!" He replied: "Yes (we do forbid it), but this House (the House of Allah) is not like other places."
Imam Musaddad bin Musarhad recorded this report in his Musnad, and its chain is of the hasan (good) grade. It is evidence that Makkah and the House of Allah have the distinction that prayer may be offered there even in the disliked times.
