It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three traits such that if they are not found in a person, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will forgive whatever is besides them (of other sins) for whomever He wills: (first) one who died without associating anything with Allah; (second) he is not a sorcerer, nor one who follows sorcerers; and (third) he does not harbour rancour and malice in his heart against his brother."
